I thought I would add a little bit about the Shorkie as a pet here as well. Shorkies' are known to be playful, fun loving dogs that love to spend time with people. They are very social dogs and are not shy around strangers. They seldom bark and tend to be very laid back. They make the perfect house dog and family pet.

Shorkies' are hypoallergenic, meaning they do not shed either their hair or their dander. They make the perfect pet for those allergic to cats and dogs! They do need monthly grooming and keeping them trimmed in a 'puppy cut' is the easiest way to keep them clean and manageable.

When shopping for a Shorkie, it's important to look at the parents. Temperament is the key! Both Roxy and Owen have wonderful, loving temperaments. They are both put together very well and are healthy as can be! We have no concerns about these puppies and their long term health.

Shorkies are dogs that love to be pleasing to their people. They are easy to train and get along with everyone!

Here are a few pictures from the last few weeks. Just a few fun shots to share!

Roxy and puppy snuggling. The puppy laying over her neck is Angus. Such a cutie!

Puppy Hug!

Here is a link to a website that has some pictures of Shorkies' as full grown dogs. I thought I would share it with everyone! Their puppies are cute too =)

Priceless Pups

If you click on their Past Puppies link you'll see a few of their Shorkie's as adult dogs.

This is our one and only litter. We felt that the birth was too hard on our Roxy girl and don't want to put her through that again! It's so hard watching one of your 'kids' go through that! We thought long and hard before we bred her and searched for the perfect husband for her. The daddy is owned by a good family friend that has been raising Yorkies for a loooong time. She is a very responsible breeder as well and was so excited to see our Shorkie puppies. She thinks that these puppies are all very nice and may be Owens BEST litter yet!
